I bought this bit for a young horse that seems to prefer a mullen mouth, plastic bit over metal bits. I got this one as it is not too thick and would seem to have a safer design than just a solid plastic mouthpiece. The slight port and shape to it seems good for her too. I would recommend this to anyone with a sensitive mouth horse!
